Palma: Paseo Maritimo

Lana Bukvic

Paseo Maritimo is a wonderful seaside promenade easily accessible from the center of Palma. The wide avenue lined with palm trees runs in both directions from Palma following Avinguda de Gabriel Roca — for about 3 km west to PortopĂ, and for 3 km east to the fishing villages of Portixol and Molinar, and then another 3 km to Ciutat JardĂ and Cala Gamba (inlet and boat club). There are great water views along this route popular with locals and tourists alike, with separate pedestrian and cycle paths.

Longer Run: Seaside promenades and paths continue further east for another 8 km to S’Arenal, which we’ve mapped in a separate route.

Essentials
  • It's 9 km (5.7 miles) beween PortopĂ and Cala Gamba. Can continue 8 km further southeast to S'Arenal,
  • 30m (100 feet) over 9 km
  • Anywhere along path. In Palma, near the cathedral/port is a good starting point
