Waterside Run Southeast of Palma

Wikimedia Commons

This is another section of the nearly 20 km of lovely waterside running along the Bay of Palma. Our route runs from Cala Gamba (inlet) in Gentilicio (6 km from the center of Palma) for 8.5 km southeast to the boat club in S’Arenal. There are wonderful water views and a dedicated path/promenade nearly the entire way.

From the boat club in Cala Gamba, run along P. Gala Gampa, and then onto the path passing the Es Carnatge nature preserve, until it runs into Carrer del Pagell. Follow the main road, along the water and beach, through Ca’n Pastilla, passing the Palma Aquarium, and Les Meravelles, to S’Arenal, where the promenade terminates near the boat club. A bus runs along this main road, which allows for one-way runs.

Longer Run: the Paseo Maritimo continues west of Cala Gamba for 6 km to Palma and 9 km to PortopĂ.
