In this post, we point out some additional parks and decent spaces for running in Pamplona. Other than the Agra River, the city lacks larger parks or longer multi-use paths.
Parque Yamaguchi & Universidad Navarra. Parque Yamaguchi is a small, lovely park designed by Japanese architects and featuring a nice botanical garden. There are ~1 km of paths around the park. Just south of there, across Av. de Navarra, there’s decent running on paths around the campus of Universidad Navarra. It’s a nice green space between Av. de Navarra and Calle Universidad. One can put together a 2-3 km route within the university.
Parque de la Constitucion. Google Street View
Parque de la Constitución (Constitution Park). This small park is located in Barañáin, a municipality in the western part of Pamplona. This is a more modern area of offices and apartment buildings. The park has wide, tree-lined paths and a small lake (Lago de Barañáin). It’s possible to do a 1-2 km run on the paths there.
For a longer run, there’s a running track (and an outdoor lap pool) at the athletic center just across the way. Adjacent to the running track, there are ~2 km of paths in the area of the Arga River. We’ve mapped a ~6 km route combining all these elements! ROUTE MAP
One can also run on the other streets of the Barañáin area — the streets are wide and there are good sidewalks — and even using Av. Central for ~2 km east to Parque Yamaguchi.

Essentials
Parque Yamaguchi & University can be combined for a 4-5 km route; Parque de la Constitución is ~1.5 km loop
One of the most pleasant runs in Pamplona is the 4-5 km of paths along the Arga River. The Arga runs just north of Pamplona's historic center, and features lovely green spaces, waterfront parks, and paths along both banks.
A terrific 'runseeing' tour of Pamplona, featuring an excellent variety: a fort, parks & gardens, riverfront paths, and some key sites of the historic center, which lies just south of the Arga River.
A bucket list item...for some runners. 20,000 runners participate each year in this famous part of Pamplona's San Fermin Festival, held July 6-14. It's 875m and takes about two minutes. And yes, it's dangerous.
