Scenic Hills Neighorhood

Google Street View

The neighborhood just west of the University of West Florida campus is terrific for some quiet, bucolic road running. There are long, winding, tree-shaded roads with fairly light traffic. The heart of the neighborhood is the 1-mile east-west from University Parkway to Guidry Ln., and 1 mile north-south from Greenbrier Blvd. to E 9 Mile Rd.  Note: Most roads in the neighborhood don’t have sidewalks.

The longest streets that are scenic for running are Scenic Hills Dr. and Foxrun Rd., which run ~1 mile north-south between Greenbrier and  E 9 Mile Rd. You can also do a 2 mile loop around the perimeter of the golf course, using Burning Tree Rd. to Scenic Hills Dr. to Meadowbrook Dr.  The University of West Florida campus, just to the east, is wonderful for running, featuring many miles of wooded trails for all abilities.
