Paraná River & Parks

A series of paths along the Paraná River offers the best opportunity for a longer, scenic, mainly off-road run in Rosario. One can run for 6.3 km between Parque Urquiza and Puerto Norte, just north of Parque de la Arenera. The paths are a mix of paved riverside promenades and some dirt paths through the parks. There are a couple of on-road sections to connect the paths. There are some lovely water views.

Starting at Parque Urquiza, the first ~2 km to the Bandera Monument is through parks on the west side of Av. Belgrano. At Bandera National Park, continue north on riverside paths almost seamlessly for 4 km, passing the Cenotafio monument and several parks: Costanera Centro de Rosario, Explanada Parque de España, Paseo de la Diversidad,  Colectividades Park (Museum of Contemporary Art building), and Parque de la Arenera. This 4 km section is the most scenic & seamless.

Add-Ons: Some additional paths in the parks. Also, you can combine this with our central Rosario route, including Parque Independencia, which is 3.5 km west of the river (use Av. Pellegrini).
