Urumea Riverfront Paths

Wikimedia Commons: Josu Goñi Etxabe

Extensive paths along the Urumea River are another signature running spot in Saint Sebastian. The river cuts through Saint Sebastian, between Monte Urgull and the Zurriola Beach. There are dedicated paths along the river, with six bridges making it possible to create routes of different length and also connect to the city’s parks and the seafront promenade. The classic 4 km loop is between the Kursaal Bridge and Agirre Bridge. Additional Options:

Option 1: Path to Loiola. 3.7 km one-way. At the Agirre Bridge, stay on the path along the eastern side of the river, along Loiolako Erriberako Pasealekua, where the path ends just past the highway at the Urdinzuko Bridge. It’s 2 km from the Agirre Bridge.

Add-Ons/Options: The lovely paths of Kristinaenea Park (1.5 km loop). Or, from the Kursaal bridge, continue to the seafront promenade to Sagues and the Paloma de la paz sculpture (1.4 km).
