Tampa – Great Neighborhoods for Running

Hyde Park Historic District. Wikimedia Commons, Ebyabe

There are some wonderful neighborhoods for running in Tampa. We’ve researched the areas with quiet, safe streets and attractive homes.

Neighborhoods Off Bayshore Blvd. A wonderful complement to the Bayshore Linear Park trail. Working our way north to south, there’s Hyde Park, Palma Ceia, and the aptly named Bayshore Beautiful. These are pretty, tree-shaded streets with attractive homes.

West Tampa & North Hyde Park. This area is mix — some streets and homes prettier than others. But if you want long streets with little traffic, this area is a good bet.

Seminole Heights. Tree-shaded streets with a mix of homes, including bungalows dating back to the 1920s. Lowry Park, at the west end, has some nice trails and lovely oaks.

Davis Islands. Some nice residential streets for running here. See our route there.
