Features:
Mercer Meadows, located eight miles north of Trenton, is one of our favorite places to run in the area. The former farm is now a 1600-acre park, featuring 10+ miles of wonderful trails through meadows and woodland. The surface is a mix of gravel and mowed grass. This PARK MAP shows the numerous trails and distances. The Lawrence Hopewell Trail is the longest trail in the park, at 4.2 miles one-way. A nice ~6 mile ‘loop’ is to take the Hopewell Trail to Rosedale Lake, and then the Maidenhead Trail back. The paths include Curtis Lake Woods (wooded, 1.4 mile trail).
Note: Grassy trails can be muddy/slippery when wet.
Add-Ons: There are additional trails in the Baldwin State Wildlife Management Area, just northwest of Mercer Meadows. Access via Kunkel Park.
- Several miles of trails
- Fairly flat
- Depends on trail chosen. There are parking areas at the southern and northern ends of the park
- Southern parking area off Blackwell Rd., and northern parking area at Rosedale Lake
