Trenton is the capital of New Jersey. Bridges over the Delaware River connect this southern New Jersey city to Pennsylvania. There’s some decent running in Trenton, showcased by two long-distance multi-use trails, and some nice parks. We also have running routes in the Princeton area, just a few miles north.

For some long, flat, off-road running, choose a section of the Delaware & Raritan State Park Canal Trail or the D&L Trail along the canal. One of the best places to run in Trenton is Mercer Meadows, with several miles of trails through meadows and woods. Mercer County Park is also a great spot for a run.
