This ‘Runseeing’ tour of Valladolid features the key sites of the historic center, including the Parque Campo Grande. It’s just over 5 km, with good add-on opportunities.
Valladolid’s historic center (Casco Histórico) lies on the east bank of the Río Pisuergatar, extending east to C. López Gómez. Start at the Plaza Mayor, an expansive, arcaded square surrounded by significant Renaissance and Baroque architecture. You can create your own route around the center. The largely pedestrianized C. Ferrari is a good anchor. Head east to the Catedral de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción de Valladolid, an impressive 16th-century cathedral. Do a loop around the large square, heading back west along C. Regalado. Then, left along the pedestrianized C. de Santiago, which passes by the Patio de Las Tabas & Iglesia de las Francesas.
Parque Campo Grande
C. Santiago leads to Parque Campo Grande, a 19th-century gated city park with nicely landscaped paths, fountains, and a small lake. A loop of the park is ~2 km. The P.º Príncipe is a wide tree-lined path running north-south through the park. The paths are a mix of paved & gravel, and there are more open and shaded areas. You might see turkeys, pheasants & pigeons! To complete the route, use C. Juan de Juni at the west end of the park to access the river and run north on the river paths, passing two pleasant riverside parks: La Rosaleda, with its rose garden, and the Parque de las Moreras with its beach.
Add-Ons: Continue on north or south on the Río Pisuergatar paths.

There are 5 km of pleasant paths along the Pisuerga River, passing through several riverside parks. A linear park feel, with nice green spaces and river views. Can combine with our Parque de los Almendros & 'runseeing' routes.
A pleasant run in Valladolid exploring two parks: Alamendros Park and the nearby Contiendas Park. They're hilly parks with wide paths, open terrain, and nice viewpoints.
Pleasant gravel paths on both sides of the Canal de Castilla, with the option to take an adjacent path through the Jardín Botánico. An easy, flat, ~7 km loop!
