Croton-on-Hudson is one of the best spots for a run along the Hudson River in Westchester County. An out and back including a loop of Croton Point Park and then to Croton Landing and the 9/11 Memorial is 8 miles, nearly all off road.

Start at Croton Point Park, where there’s an ample parking lot (and train access!). A full loop of the park’s open, rolling hill trails, including out to Tellers Point, is ~3 miles. Be sure to check out New York’s oldest wine cellar and the historic yew trees. Then, next to the train station, pick up the paved multi-use path along the river headed north, and run for 1.5 miles to Croton Landing Park, passing the Half Moon Bay Yacht Club and Senasqua Park. There are great views!  It’s another 1/2 mile north to the 9/11 Memorial. Retrace your steps to the start.  Enjoy a post-run swim in the pool at Croton Point Park!
