This is a pleasant run featuring waterfront sections of New Rochelle and upscale Larchmont, including the lovely Five Islands Park. Start on Main St. in New Rochelle, using La Fevre Ln. to access Five Islands Park, including the pedestrian bridge to Harrison Island. After this 1.2 mile out and back, continue north on E. Main St. (Rt.1) for 0.4 miles to Pryer Manor Rd. Take this leafy road, passing large homes (caution: no sidewalk) down to the water, crossing Red Bridge. Enjoy a loop of upscale Larchmont, passing Manor Park out to Umbrella Point. Nice water views and fancy homes. Loop back up to Rt. 1 using Ocean Ave. and Elm St. [Option: add-on with very nice residential streets in this area.] Return via Main St. (1 mile).

Add-Ons:  Explore more in upscale Larchmont & Mamaroneck, as far as Harbor Iskand Park, on quiet streets with lovely homes. Note that some of these streets don’t have a shoulder/sidewalk. South of New Rochelle you can run on Main St./Rt. 1 & Pelham Rd. for 2 miles (not that pleasant but there are sidewalks) to access our Shore Park/Glen Island Park route.
