Features:
Located in the northeast part of Westchester, Ward Pound Reservation is the county’s largest park. The 4,315-acre park features varied terrain and landscapes and 35 miles of wooded trails. This is a huge area, but this trail map is very helpful with suggested loops on the blazed, color-coded trails. There are several scenic overlooks. Some trails are hillier and more rugged. Reservation Rd. cuts across the park from west to east, and can be run for those who want a break from the trails.
Access to the park is via Reservation Rd., and there’s a large parking lot and visitor center at the western end of the park and another one at the eastern end of the park.
