The 11.5 mile Red Bud Trail is another long tree-lined path along a former railroad bed. We’ve mapped the most ‘runnable’ 5 miles between I-135/Murdock Street, east to Rock Rd. The most popular section of trail is the 2.5 miles from the west end on a wide concrete path stretching to Wichita State University. The paved section continues another ~2 miles to Rock Road. East of here, most sections of the trail are dirt or crushed stone, with a few unimproved areas.
