Yokohama’s Marine Park (Umi no Koen) is located on the south coast of the city, along the Kanazawa Seaside Line (subway). This beachy area has a variety of running surfaces, from brick walkways to wide paved paths. Even the sand is decently firm, which can be fun for training. From Nojimakoen station to Uminokoen-Shibaguchi is about 1.5 km, but runners can continue out the path to Yokohama Sea Paradise (the promenades are free to walk) or along the waterfront of Yokohama City University. To the south of Nojimakoen, runners can cross the bridge and run through Nojima Park. Combined, the path is ~6.5 km, so one can stitch together a 10-12 km run here. There’s also a marked 2.2 km running course around the park.

Other Routes in Yokohama, Japan
The favorite running route in Yokohama, the bayside parks and promenades of Minato Mirai offer scenic views of the waterfront and its futuristic architecture. We’ve mapped 5k and 10 km routes, but there are lots of options for variation.
Shin-Yokohama, a large park right outside the station of the same name, has great running paths around Nissan Stadium and the surrounding fields, with easy connections to the Tsurumi River and canal paths.
The best option for a long distance run in Yokohama is the paved bike path along the Tsurumi River. Although it is interrupted by many street intersections, it goes on for over 21 km to the Onda River.
A former race horse venue, Negishi Shinrin Park has maintained the 1.5 km circuit around the grassy fields and orchards, making this a perfect space for a quick run or laps.
