It’s not large, but County Farm Park – located southeast of downtown in Allen – is a local favorite for its forests, gardens, and meandering crushed stone trails. The Fitness Trail, totalling 1.4 miles around the perimeter of the park, is the most popular route for its 18 fitness stations where runners can add in a bit of strength training to their workout. For more mileage, add on the 1.1 mile Outer Loop Trail, the .6 mile Inner Loop Trail, or the .4 mile Britton Woods Nature Trail. There is also a .4 mile paved path along Washtenaw Ave leading to Manchester Park. With a little creativity, runners can piece together a nearly 4.5 mile cardio session complete with a full body workout!
