The area around Clifton Beach has some of the best areas for running in Karachi. There are opportunities to combine several parks and the beach/marina promenade area.

A favorite loop combines Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Park and Ibn-e-Qasim Park. Starting at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Park, there’s 2 km path/sidewalk alongside the Boat Basin. Then, do a loop around the 130-acre Ibn-e-Qasim Park — one of Karachi’s largest parks, featuring lush gardens and nice walking paths. It’s ~2.5 km around the perimeter. Exit the park at the Jehangir Kothari Parade historical landmark. For the return, run for 1 km through a series of small parks, the largest of which is Auntie Park.

Add-Ons: See our route for Clifton Beach. Also, Zamzama Park is 1 km away and features a popular gravel 1km running track around its perimeter.

Essentials
  • 8.6 km (5.4 miles) loop
  • 34m (113 feet)
  • Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Park - Block 5 near the World Trade Center
