You can’t visit Vermont without seeing some cows! This rail-trail runs for 26.1 miles between St. Albans and Richford, passing through the towns of Green Corners , Sheldon, Enosburg, and East Berkshire. The surface is crushed limestone and the grade never exceeds 3%. It’s a glimpse into old Vermont dairy country, with postcard images of rural farms, leaf-strewn woods, and rolling fields.

In Sheldon Junction, the MVRT intersects with the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail, which runs for 94 miles between Swanton & St. Johnsbury.

Between Sheldon and Richford, the trail follows roughly along the Missiquoi River. The eastern terminus is near Richford’s village center.   FULL INFORMATION
