Get up early, before the markets and crowds, and do your own little ‘runseeing’ tour of İzmir old town and historical sites. Start at Cankaya or Basmane Gar subway station, and run the roads around the Smyrna Antik Kenti, sort of an open air museum. Then enjoy a random jaunt through the narrow streets of Old Town, which lies between the Cankaya and Konak subway stations.
Add-Ons: Combine this with Kültürpark and/or the Kordon waterfront paths.
