At the eastern end of the Trent River trails, there’s some very scenic running around the Colwick Marina and a series of lagoons. These wide, gravel paths feature wonderful water views. It’s also fun to watch the whitewater races at the marina. A loop of the trails is about 3.5 miles. One can add ~2 miles by running on the trails around the Nottingham Racecourse and on Racecourse Rd.
For a longer run, join the River Trent trails on the south bank headed west toward Nottingham.
