There’s some scenic waterfront running in Kaş, a seaside town that occupies the site of ancient Antiphellos, with still-visible ruins including a theater. Our thanks to Joylin Nodwell for suggesting this route!
Run the Cukurbag Peninsula. Doing a loop of the peninsula that extends into the sea is popular with runners. There are great views of the water, on this rolling hill run. There’s a descent shoulder most of the way on the main road, Beyhan Cenkçi Cd. Starting in Kaş at the tourist office, a loop of the peninsula is 11.7 km. You can shorten it by 2 km by parking at Çınar Beach. The mapped loop is counterclockwise. Note: hilly – the full loop is 287m.
Run the Main Road Headed West. It’s possible to run on the main road, the D400, headed west of Kaş. The road runs right along the water, featuring great water views. There’s a decent sidewalk/shoulder for about 5 km to just past Akçagerme Beach. We don’t recommend running west of there, as there’s very little shoulder.
