Chambers Bay Regional Park

Creative Commons

Chambers Bay is a large green space on the western end of the Tacoma peninsula. There are a couple of good running options here. At Chambers Bay Regional Park,  there’s a 5k paved loop around a golf course, featuring incredible water views.

There are plenty of opportunities to extend the route. Hop on the East Slope Trail (more open) or the Chambers Creek Trail (more wooded) at the southern edge of the park (an additional 3 miles out and back). Use the Chambers Creek Canyon Trailhead for access to both of these trails.

Essentials
  • Golf course loop is 3 miles (5 km); East Slope Trail & Chambers Creek Trail add another ~3 miles
  • Golf course loop is 249 feet (76m)
  • Parking lot off ar northeast end of the park
