The run along the Lana River is another easy, centrally located route in Tirana. And, it can be made into a 10k loop! The narrow river runs through the heart of downtown Tirana, and then extends northwest. The runnable part is on the paths/sidewalk along Bulevardi Gjergj Fishta/Zhan D’Ark on the north bank, and Curri Blvd. on the south bank.

A central place to start is Rinia Park (additional paths there). Run along the north bank for 2.3 km to the western end at Kavaja St., then cross to the south bank. Run for 4.8 km to the eastern end, passing the brutalist/Soviet era Enver Hoxha Museum (now a conference center) toward the eastern end. Complete the loop on the northern side. There’s a cycle path on Fishta side, west of Rinia Park.
Add-Ons: Combine with our ‘runseeing’ tour, which overlaps with this route. Also, Tirana Park is just 1 km south of the river.

THE place to run in Tirana. Major European park features several paved loop path options and a running track. Landscape includes woods, open areas, & an artificial lake. There are numerous cultural & recreational sites, a botanic garden, cafes & restaurants.
A short 'runseeing' tour of the central & historical sections of Tirana, passing by the important cultural & architectural highlights. A curious mix of older/historic, brutalist Soviet-era, and modern styles. Add on with Lana River paths, Tirana Park.
A nice running destination in the eastern part of Tirana. The park features hiking/walking paths and a more open landscape around the artificial Farka Lake. It's possible to do a ~7 km loop of the lake, though some sections of the path are more developed than others.
Some nice lake & mountain views while running in this park in the northern part of Tirana. A paved walkway around Paskuqanit Lake makes for a ~4 km lake loop. The Rruga Ali Demi trail runs for 1.25 km between the north and south ends of the park.
Many visitors to Tirana head to west the Adriatic port city of Durrës for its beaches. There are several nice sections of waterfront running, plus a 'history run' in town incorporating Roman ruins and a seafront park. Beaches are also runnable, situationally.
