One of the largest urban public parks in China, and a great place for a run. Located in the Yubei District, the park is 2.7 km long and features a more open northern section, with a huge Central Square, and a more natural southern section. There's a 7k marked footpath.
Nice park for running on Longta St. in the Yubei District. There are ~4 km of trails around gardens, towers, pavilions, and a lake. Don't miss the 300m-long popular science art relief corridor at the entrance of the North Gate!
Forest park atop the 400m Longjing Hill in the Jiangbei District. Lovely gardens, and the hilltop Hong'En Pagoda. Can do an easier ~3 km run involving the Ecological & Fitness Trails, but a longer run will be hilly, with trails and stairs!
A highlight of running in Shuangshan Jinyu Park in the Dadukou District is the 6.3 km, paved Dadukou "Sky Corridor" Trail that runs along a cliff face. Can add with nice trails in adjacent Dadukou Park and Zhonghua Meide Park. Also a running track.
These are paved trails in the Yubei District that are great for running: a 15.5 km trail in the Lijia neighborhood; and AVIC Town Park in Longxingzhen, which has scenic, color-coded 3k, 5k, & 10k trails.
Some great running options near Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport and hotels: Bijin Park, with ~5 km of paved paths around garden & forest sections; and adjacent Shuanglonghu Park, with 5 km of scenic lakefront paths. Can combine the two!
