Malecón de Acapulco/Paseo del Pescador

Don’t feel like running on sand? The best waterfront running option in Acapulco is the Malecón de Acapulco/Paseo del Pescador. Parts of this path have a park-like feel, with brick-paved lanes, palm trees, and statues. Other sections are sidewalks along busy streets or simple patches of concrete by the water. However, it’s a good option for a coastal run of up to 4 km one-way.  Malecón=Promenade

The waterfront route starts at Hotel Krystal Beach Acapulco in the east, and continues along the beach, past the Mirador de la Bahia, to Parque de la Reina. Continue along Av. Costera Miguel Aleman to Ignacio de La Llave and the Rotonda de las Mujeres y Hombres Ilustres de Guerrero. Then, hop on Paseo del Pescador, which runs to Parque Manzanillo.

Add-Ons: Runners can also add a loop around Parque Papagayo or a jaunt to La Quebrada for more distance.

  • Up to 8 km (5 miles) out and back
  • 12m (41 feet)
