The Réserve Naturelle Marais du Bout du Lac d’Annecy is another great opportunity to enjoy the waterfront in the quiet of nature. There are some beautiful boardwalks winding through wetlands and forest, with great views of the lake and surrounding mountains. From the parking area, runners can follow a “lollipop” shaped route out towards the water. Boardwalks continue out to the Tour Médiévale fortress, then loop inland, skirting L’Eau Morte before returning to the main road. The loop is 3 km, but the Voie Verte bike path is nearby if runners want to extend their mileage.
