Enjoy some scenic trail running in the Bubolz Nature Preserve, located just 5 miles north of downtown Appleton. There are 8.5 miles of trails through terrain that includes hardwood forest, white cedar forest, tall and shortgrass prairie, wet meadow, ponds and streams. This trail map shows the several loop options. The trails are fairly well marked.

Notes: The 4.5 mile Wilderness Trail is not open in summer. And in winter, some of the trails are designated for XC Skiing. The trails can get muddy when wet.
