The trail to Kitekite Falls isn’t a long run, so we’ve paired it with a road run out to the Tasman Lookout, making for a picturesque tour of Piha (a village about an hour outside of Auckland). This route is a welcome respite from busy downtown and winds through the Waitakere Range, which means plenty of little hills to keep your legs working hard. Go on a warm day and reward yourself with a dip in one of the refreshing pools downstream of the falls. And don’t forget a camera.
