There’s some decent running near Barcelona’s El Prat Airport! If you get stuck out there or want to catch a run before hopping on a flight, we recommend staying in the Gavà Mar area in Castelldefels, where there’s a cluster of hotels and a promenade along the beach (Platja Gavà/Castelldefels).
A wide, dedicated seafront promenade runs parallel to the Passeig Marítim road along the Balearic Sea for nearly 9 km. The east end is in Gavà Mar, and the west end is at the Port Ginesta marina. Some sections are right along water, others are a bit away from it. The beach itself is long and wide, and features soft sand and is situationally runnable near the water.
