Features:
This is a nice 10k loop highlighting several small Bellingham parks, stitched together by runnable residential streets. We start at Little Squalicum Beach. Run on the path north through the park, for ~1 mile to Squalicum Creek Park, a pleasant community park with open, grassy walking trails and other facilities. At the north end of the park, take the path that exits onto Cedarwood Ave. Take Cedarwood, then RIGHT on Northwest Ave. briefly, and LEFT on E Maplewood Ave. to Cornwall Park, which has ~1 mile of mainly wooded trails. Head south along Cornwall Ave. through Cornwall Rose Garden, passing the historic Roeder Home. LEFT on Park Dr., through Broadway Park, and continue onto North St. For the return, run west on North, and continue on the pleasant side streets of the Columbia Neighborhood (L on Elizabeth, L on Madison, to Eldridge).
Add-On: Near the start/end of the run near Squalicum Beach, there are some additional pleasant paths around Squalicum Harbor. You’ll have to take Roeder Ave. (busy, not very pleasant) for ~0.5 miles to access it.

I’m not sure I understand how map on MapMyRun works when the route reaches the end of the trail near Squalicum Pkwy. The app directs the runner to Northwest Ave, but there is no trail that I’m aware of that goes from where Squalicum Pkwy to Northwest Ave near the bridge where the trail adjacent Squalicum Pkwy ends.
Tommy,
You’re correct — thanks for pointing this out. At the north end of Squalicum Creek Park, take the path that exits onto Cedarwood Ave. Take Cedarwood, then RIGHT on Northwest Ave. briefly, and LEFT on E Maplewood Ave. to Cornwall Park. I’ve amended the MMR map to reflect this. Happy running! – Mark
