A Taste of the Ozarks! Hobbs State Park

Creative Commons 2.0: Doug Wertman

Here’s an opportunity to get a taste of the Ozarks. Hobbs State Park, located about 20 miles southeast of Bentonville, is Arkansas’s largest state park, spanning a 12,054-acre tract of Ozark landscape along the southern shore of Beaver Lake. There are 54 miles of trails — most of them fairly rugged and hilly. It’s a very popular place for mountain bikers. The terrain is mainly wooded, with a few trails along sections of lake.

Some trails are open to pedestrians and bikes, while some are bike only. We recommend consulting this park website, which has extensive information about the trails, and a series of maps.

Note: See the park website for seasonal closures of certain trails due to hiking.
