The Event Center Running Trail is the other principal off-road path in Brownsville. Also known as the Paseo de la Rasca System, the trail runs along a small river through sort of a linear park in one of the city’s more upscale neighborhoods. There are quiet side streets with larger homes coming off the trail. It’s ~1.2 miles from the Brownsville Events Center to the eastern end, and ~2 miles north-south between the Heritage Trail Playground and a small park at the southern end. Running the entire trail, which runs on both sides of the water, is 6.5 miles. Note the shape of the map!
Add-Ons: The Events Center Running Trail is also located at the midway point of the Brownsville Historic Battlefield Trail, which can be joined for a longer run! The neighborhood streets are also good for running.
