For those who enjoy beach running, there is no shortage of sand on Cabo San Lucas. In general, beaches here are soft, and there is a significant slope towards the water. The best running is at low tide, when some of the firmer, flatter sand opens up. Here are some of the longer beaches for running in Cabo San Lucas:

Playa El Medano: Located on the east shore of Cabo San Lucas, Playa El Medano runs for 4 km (2.5 miles) along the Bahia San Lucas. It’s a popular resort strip, and the easiest access is from the south side near Fin del Muelle. ROUTE MAP.

Playa Grande/Playa Solmar: This beach is named after the premiere resorts that grace its shores. There is just under a mile of beach until the sand runs into the rocky cliffs that separate Playa Solmar from Playa de los Amantes. ROUTE MAP.

Playa El Faro: This is one of the better flat beaches for running in Cabo San Lucas. It stretches from Cabo Falso, past the Club de Golf Quivira, to the Pueblo Bonito Resorts — about 2.4 km (1.5 miles). ROUTE MAP.
