Calaveras River Bike Path

The Calaveras River Bike Path is the signature running option in Stockton. This mainly paved multi-use trail follows the Calaveras River in the northern part of Stockton for ~7 miles. IThere are some nice views of the water a good part of the way.

The main trail is along the north side of the river. The eastern end is at E McAllen Rd. The path passes just across from the University of the Pacific. West of Brookside Rd., there’s a particularly scenic 2-mile section at the juncture of the San Joaquin River, out to RiverPoint Landing. There’s also a path on the south side of the river for a good part of the route, continuing as a soft shoulder along River Dr. east of downtown.

Add-Ons:  Pleasant pedestrian paths around the campus of the University of the Pacific.
