Running on the CCLEX Bridge is one of the more impressive bridge runs in the world. The CCLEX Bridge, which connects Cebu with Cordova, was opened in 2022, and the planners did include a walkway which is open to pedestrians and cyclists. The bridge itself is 8.5 km long, although with the access and egress, the full route is more like 11.5 km.
It’s a thrill to run at least part of this bridge once. The bridge itself is impressive, and there are some good views. There are several carve-outs for pictures. The run does get a bit monotonous after a time, and the roadside cycle path that’s needed to access the bridge isn’t exactly bucolic. See the route map and also follow the signage for the access from the CSCR Road.
