Cebu to Il Corso Waterfront Route

Google Street View

The waterfront running options in Cebu aren’t very good, which is disappointing given the city’s maritime setting on the Cebu Strait. The waterfront area north of the city center is largely industrial. It’s possible to run south of the center toward Il Corso, a relatively new development where there’s a casino, amusement park, and lifestyle mall. On Il Corso itself, there’s actually a very nice 1 km path along the water.

From the city center, there’s a cycle path along the CSCR Road headed south. It’s not exactly scenic, as the path is alongside a busy expressway, and on the opposite side of the water. But it is runnable. It’s ~3 km to Il Corso, and then there’s a nice 1 km stretch right along the water. One can loop back along the road past the medical center, for variety and glimpses of a lagoon. Note: there’s also SRP Back Road, on the north side of the lagoon, which some people also run on.

Alternative: You can also just run in Il Corso itself….do some laps!
