This is a scenic run on a coastal promenade path in Los Alcázares, a coastal spa town and former fishing village on the western side of the Mar Menor. The wide, palm-lined path runs for 5.6 km from Playa de la Concha (beach) near the port, north to the campground at Playa de Palo. Bonus: Lit at night.
The path runs along beaches nearly the whole way. It’s a dedicated coastal trail, Paseo, which changes names multiple times. The south end is a wide promenade. At ~1.4 km, enjoy some exercises at the palm-shaded outdoor gym at Parque Calistenia. The northern ~0.7 km is a wooden boardwalk trail, with tall reeds on either side.
