Start just south of the Hanau West train station and run through the little park to the River Main. Head east on the path & tree-lined Philippsruher Allee to Schloss Philippsruhe, the castle park of the former castle estate. Enjoy a ~1.5 km loop around the beautiful grounds, including the spectacular buildings. Head east out of the park for 1 km along the river path to the bridge at the power station, crossing over the falls to the south side. Head back west along the river path for 3.3 km to the Steinheimer Bridge, crossing back over & returning to the start. The paths are pretty and tree-lined, with some nice river views.

Longer Run/Add-On: Can head east of the Steinheimer Bridge for another ~3 km along the river path. Can also run for 20 km west to Frankfurt, almost 100% seamless along the river. See this route.
