Start at the Gdańsk Stocznia or Gdańsk Politechnika train stations, and do a loop around Park Steffensów and Park Akademicki. There are pleasant tree-lined paths and a couple of WWII memorials. Then, make your way through the campus of the Gdańsk University of Technology. A mix of architectures, and lots of pedestrian paths. Use Tragutta Rd. to exit the western end of the campus, and hilly paths connecting to Jaśkowa Valley Park. This hilly park has forested trails leading to lookouts with sea views, and is also popular for its open-air stage for music performances. A loop of the park’s paths is ~2 km.
For the return, you can retrace your steps through the paths & parks. We’ve mapped an alternative return using Jaśkowa Dolina to Matejki, which are pleasant, typical Gdańsk streets, with decent sidewalks.
