Glasgow Green

This East to West route through the center of Glasgow is easier to navigate than most city centers, which is part due to Glasgow’s impeccable urban planning and in part due to all the interesting sights along the way. This route is your best option for exploring the “Broomielaw,” the nice shared use path that parallels the River Clyde. Glasgow Green, at 136 acres, is one of the city’s largest and most popular parks, with running paths, sport pitches, and the gorgeous People’s Palace and Winter Gardens, which appear straight out of a fairy tale. Other highlights include McLennan Arch and the Tidal Weir.

Our route includes a km along the Broomielaw, and then the perimeter of the Green. There are other trails and paths in the park for a longer run or variety.

Essentials
  • 6.5 km (4 miles) loop
  • 20.4 meters (67 feet)
  • Start on the Broomielaw near the center of town.
  • If you’re not already in the center of the city, you can take the subway to the Glasgow Central stop.
