There’s nice running on this 11 km section of cycleway that stretches along the Taiwan Strait from Nangangshangniao Park to Zhunan Wetlands. The paved multi-use path, popular for cycling and running, features a nice variety of scenery: part along the water, part wooded, and some wetland areas. Notes: Be aware of cyclists.

Our mapped route starts at Nangangshangniao Park, which is the southern end of the 17 KM Coastline Scenic Area. The first 2 km is less pleasant as it’s alongside the main highway. The 2.6 km Ch’i-ting Beach, also in this area, is runnable. Then the path gets nicer and there are some sea views. South of Longfeng Harbor (km6), the path is mainly wooded. The southern ~4 km pass through Zhunan Haibin Natural Park, where there’s both paved cycle paths and some more rugged gravel paths closer to the water. There’s also a runnable beach for several km south of Longfeng Harbor. The route ends at Zhunan Wetlands.
