The Canal Walk

One of the best downtown spots to run, no matter the time of day. It’s safe, quiet, and uninterrupted by traffic for an almost 2 mile loop. The Canal Walk serves the downtown community as a waterside promenade for walkers, runners, bikers and sightseers, while the canal itself includes a steady stream of pedal boats.

You can connect to the White River Trail, which adds another three miles by following the river up to 10th street and gently looping back past the zoo and through White River State Park. See the White River Trail post for more detail!
