Lawrence Garden (Bagh e Jinnah) and Race Course (Jilani) Park

One of the better opportunities for a pleasant, off-road green space run in Lahore is to combine Bagh e Jinnah (Lawrence Park) with the adjacent Race Course Park (also known as Jilani Park), where it’s possible to put together a 5 km+ run!

Bagh e Jinnah is a large park housing a library, open-air theater, sports facilities, extensive lawned areas, and a zoo at the northern end. The best bet for running is the 1.8 km (1.1 mile) Jogging Track, located next to the iconic Quaid-e-Azam Library. You can also explore more on the park’s paths and lawns.

Just south of Bagh e Jinnah is Race Course Park, which is has paths around fields and gardens. An overall loop of the paths is a neat 3 km, which includes a path around the Children’s Playground at the southern end.

Add-Ons: Mall Rd. runs along the eastern side of the parks and is one of the more runnable streets in Lahore. Also the Lahore Canal. See our route there.
