Noquemanon North Trails (NTN) & Dead River Falls

Creative Commons 4.0

The Noquemanon North Trails is an extensive series of trails in northwestern Michigan, popular for trail running, mountain biking, and, in winter, Nordic skiing. The NTN consists of 8 trail systems and 100+ miles of trails. The North Trails are 30 miles of singletrack trails in the Marquette area, headed east along the Dead River or west to Forestville Park.

A good starting point is Tourist Park. For easier trail running, look for the green-marked trails on the map (some headed east and north). More rugged trails head west toward Forestville (blue trails). For a challenge, head north to the Sugarloaf Mountain trails, the reward being fantastic views from the top.

Another good option is the Dead River Falls area, which is just south of the Forestville Trailhead of the NTN Trails. It’s up to 3 miles headed west from Dead River Falls, climbing 580 feet. ROUTE MAP
