Lapham Peak State Park

Lapham Peak State Park is located in Delafield, Wisconsin, about 25 miles west of Milwaukee. The park includes three picnic areas, a butterfly garden, an amphitheater, and over 25 miles of dirt and paved nature trails.  Lapham Peak has an elevation of 1,233 feet, and is the highest point in Waukesha County. At the top is a wooden 45ft observation tower that offers a dynamic view of southeastern Wisconsin and the northern edge of Illinois. Many of the Milwaukee running groups come here for long run days. There are more than 17 miles of loop trails in the forest that vary in difficulty and can be combined to custom-create your own circuit.

  • Black loop = 6.4 miles
  • Black Loop+Stairway = 9 Miles
  • Blue loop = 6 miles
  • Ice Age = 7 miles

Parking: A vehicle sticker is required. $8/day pass.
