It’s curious that Mobile’s principal park is located some 7 miles west of downtown. But we’d consider it worthwhile to seek out a run there. This is a classic, substantial city park that is also the location of other Mobile landmarks, such as the spectacular Museum of Art building, Playhouse, and a City Golf Course. The park also features a Botanical Garden, Japanese Garden, several lakes, and various recreation facilities.
One can easily put together a run of several green and pleasant miles here. A tour of the park’s perimeter roads (Zeigler Blvd. & Museum Drive) is 2.4 miles. There are numerous interior park roads and paths as well.
