Great Nashville Neighborhoods for Running

In addition to great parks and trails, Nashville has some wonderful neighborhoods for running. Enjoy quiet, tree-lined roads past spectacular homes in some of the city’s iconic and historic neighborhoods. This guide is adapted from Neighborhoods.com, which also has great additional info on Nashville hotspots.

Belle Meade. Historic neighborhood with beautiful streets and homes. Enjoy 5 miles along Belle Meade Blvd. to Percy Warner Park, which itself has miles of trails and bridle paths.

Belmont-Hillsboro. Enjoy beautiful residential streets, or combine with a jaunt around the campuses of Vanderbilt, Lipscomb University, Belmont University. Belmont Blvd. offers a great 2-mile straightaway.

East Nashville. Up and coming neighborhood. Good running along Shelby Ave. and Fatherland St., and the 960-acre Shelby Bottoms Park, which has 5 miles of paved trails and 5 miles of more rugged trail running.

Sylvan Park. Wind your way through the quiet residential streets of this historic neighborhood, or enjoy the 3 miles of paths along the Richland Creek Greenway.
