North Conway Area, NH

White Mountain Half Marathon Course

For a longer tour de North Conway, the White Mountain Half Marathon has already mapped a challenging run through the paved streets and bike paths that connect town to the scenic West Side Road. From the Conway Scenic Railroad, the route runs south through town on the White Mountain Highway, past Conway’s famous shopping outlets, onto a bike path, and over the Saco River on the historic 1890 Covered Bridge. Traversing green farmland with idyllic mountain range views, runners will spot the highest point on the East Coast looming over them. Depending on the year, you might see snow at the top of Mt. Washington. Runners then power through a final blood-pounding uphill before returning to Schoeler Park. Park anywhere downtown — there are usually ample spaces available in front of the railroad.

For the area, the course is relatively flat. The race itself is usually the last Sunday in October.
