Lake Louisa State Park

For some trails and sorta hills, head 25 miles west of Orlando to Lake Louisa State Park. There are more than 7 miles of paved roads and 20 miles of unpaved multi-use trails, many of them quite wide. Some of the trails are wooded, and some have nice water views. There are three lakes, with swimming permitted in Lake Louisa. Boating activities are also popular here.

This trail map shows the various running options and distances. The 3.5 mile nature loop and the 5.5 mile Bronson Loop are great one for running. Note that many of the trails are overlapping, though there’s a good number marking system to help keep track,

Essentials
  • Several loop options. Bronson Trail is longest at 5.5 miles
  • Some elevation
  • Three parking lots. Nature Trail is closest to Ranger Station
