Good Roads for Running in Pattaya & Vicinity

Nongprue Public Park. Source: Pattaya Unlimited

The roads in Pattaya City and nearby aren’t great for running. They tend to be congested, and few have decent sidewalks. Your best bets are the scenic paths along Pattaya Beach and Jomtien Beach. Away from the city the roads get quieter, but note there are no shoulders or sidewalks and you might have to contend with dogs. Decent roads for running in the area include:

Pattaya Night Walking Street. 800m, quite a scene, can be very crowded. Best to go early in the morning!

Central Pattaya Rd and North Pattaya Road. Each of these major roads have a  sidewalk and are a 2 km straight shot between the highway and beach.

Side Streets of Pattayasaisong Rd. There are side streets and alleys that run between the Pattayasaisong Rd. and Beach Rd. They can be quieter, fun to go in and out. Best early since there’s no shoulder/sidewalk.

Side Roads of Pratumnak Hill. The most exclusive residential area of Pattaya. There are some quieter, greener, and hilly side roads — but note there are few sidewalks/shoulders.
